At Donovan Langford Accounting, we use our unique expertise, built over the past 20 years, to guide our clients as together we learn from the past, interpret the present, and build a better future.
We know there is always more to learn, and we can always do better. We answer the questions you didn’t know to ask, and we shed light on the ambiguous as we collaborate with our clients to find solutions that are as unique as they are. By supporting our clients, through both turmoil and triumph, we are able to deliver a service where we can anticipate their needs regardless of how quickly changes happen.
The candy bowl is always full, and our team is accessible to our clients. Understanding doesn’t just happen on paper; we have the privilege of not only just having clients but extended family.

Ameena Shack Langford, Owner/Accountant

Ameena is an Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the field. Additionally, Ameena has 10 years of experience in business management. Like her father before her, she is an Arlington Catholic Alumna. She attended Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C., and is a graduate of UMass Lowell. Ameena holds multiple certifications in a variety of areas including bookkeeping and is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
Ameena was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and adopted at 3 months of age. She was raised by her parents, John & Marie Shack here in Woburn. She attended St. Charles Grammar School and was in the 30th graduating class at Arlington Catholic. She has lived in Washington, D.C. and Austin, TX, but Massachusetts always called her back.
Ameena has been married to her husband Nicholas for over 20 years and they have 3 daughters: Kayla, Arianna, & Giada. In 2021, Kayla and her husband Kyle gave them a grandson, Jamison. Arianna is attending Assumption University in their Honors Program. Giada is at Nashoba Technical High School studying Graphic Design.
A love of learning has always been a cornerstone in Ameena's life. She is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in a part-time program and will graduate in December 2024 and sit for the July 2025 bar exam. She hopes to use this added knowledge to better serve her clients and community in the future.
Ameena's passions, beyond her family, education, and work, lie in reading and traveling. In her spare time, if she isn't going on adventures with her children and husband, she can be found reading a book hopefully with her feet in the sand someplace warm and a fruity drink well within reach.
Erin Tallent, Office Manager

Our Office Manager is Erin. She has many roles: receptionist, administrative assistant, and bookkeeper, just to name a few. Erin is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She has over 15 years of experience in insurance underwriting and office management. And has been indispensable to Donovan Langford since 2016.
A Waltham native, Erin now lives in Chelmsford with her husband Steve, and 3 sons, Steven, Jack, and Daniel. Steven in currently attending UMass Lowell studying Information Technology. She is also a furmom to their dog Piper.
Erin has enjoyed getting to know each and every one of our clients and looks forward to yearly updates from them. Erin is also the purveyor of the candy bowl, so stay on her good side and she will stock it with your favorites.
Erin loves to travel, watch guilty pleasure reality TV; gossip with Ameena about the British Royal Family; and enjoy a good song that she can dance along to. You may catch her snacking on a chocolate-covered strawberry or grooving to a good song during one of our office dance parties!
